I used to hate this cover, but then I started to read the book and realized how much everything meant to it.

If you shipped them, this will be a destefaho for you, but I thought it made a nice change from the typical instalove sort of scenario. I think they go all the way. A bit of a stretch, pdv I’m willing to believe this, since Landen’s a bit wimpy, he’s dealing with grief over his real wife’s death, and he has two other women to bone anyway.

I admired her spirit and drive to escape her captors and return to the free world and find her brother. To view it, click here.

I won’t be reading the third book, that’s for sure. She looked so much better on the first cover.

Fever The Chemical Garden 2 By Lauren Destefano

Wither held together so well because the secondary characters and all their relationships were explored in good time, realistically and with feeling; time jumped there, yes, but downloaf such a way that it didn’t feel dpf things were being glossed over or eroded.

All of those questions I can’t answer. So much of it is dreams and nostalgia for other times and places and people – so much of it internal, wistful monologuing – aluren I found myself completely detached from the here and now, which, given that it’s written in first person immediate, is no mean feat.

Overall this sequel was really intense, action packed, well written, the characters were great, a little gory and you just get completely sucked into the story! What made this installment better than Wither in my opinion was that the plot actually moves along at a much better pace.

With amazing characters, writing, and story, she makes every surprising corner come to life! View all 18 comments. She’s goes throughout most of the novel worried if she made the right decision to leave the mansion behind.

Or at least a large slice. I really didn’t like it. Gabriel and Rhine have escaped the mansion and Housemaster Vaughn and are attempting to make their way to New York city or what’s left of it to find Rhine’s twin brother, Rowen.

The first edition of this book published in February 21stand was written by Lauren DeStefano. Fever picks up exactly where Wither left off. Spoiler alert, they finally escape, right when Vaughn the original villain finds them. I was anxious to know what was going to happen. It feels like I have straw coming out of my head. You need to buy this book when it comes out — I’m definitely buying my own finished copy!

Rhine doesn’t have to touch or be touched by anyone but Gabriel.

I have never craved closeness like this for anyone else. Want to Read saving…. What does that bit of information add to Rhine’s story? Honestly though, I did n k t think it was half as good as the first one I am not …more I just finished the second one so it’s still fresh in my mind. It has such a unique and original storyline and I can’t wait to read the third and final book in this series! But what she discovers along the way has alarming implications for her future—and about the past her parents never had the chance to explain.

I mean, jumping off a cliff would start to seem like the optimal choice. The writing, sort of. Rhine shows none of the desire to leave that she did at Vaughn’s, despite being forced into sexual acts which she never was at Vaughn’s and knowing that Gabriel was being forced to take drugs. And last but not least: There was almost zero world building, and it made no sense.
